Dear God

So far today I've done alright.

I haven't gossiped or lost my temper.I haven't been greedy or grumpy or nasty

Or selfish or over indulgent.

And I'm thankful for that.

But God, in a few minutes,

I'm going to get out of bed

---  and from then on,

I'm going to need a lot more help!

Amen!

My God is Real

I see Him in the sunshine,

And at the setting sun

He's there in every flower,

In grass and tree and shrub

Just look out there in nature

God looks right back at you.

He speaks through trees and rivers

And in the gentle breeze

He walks with me each step I take

My hands he holds in His.

I feel His touch, I know his voice

He leaves within my heart.

Attitude

I woke up early today, excited over all I get to do

before the clock strikes midnight.

I have responsibilities to fulfil today. I am important.

My job is to choose what kind of day I am going to have.

Today I can complain because the weather is rainy

Or I can be thankful that the grass is getting watered for free.

Today I can feel sad that I don't have money

Or I can b e glad that my finances encourage me to plan my purchases wisely and guide me away from waste

Today I can grumble about my health

Or I can rejoice that I am alive.

Today I can lament over all that my parents didn't give me when I was growing up or I can feel grateful that they allowed me to be born.

Today I can cry because roses have thorns

Or I can celebrate that thorns have roses.

Today I can mourn my lack of friends or I can excitedly embark upon a quest to discover new relationships.

Today I can whine because I have to go to work

Or I can shout for joy because I have a job to do.

Today I can complain because I can go to school

Or eagerly open my mind and fill it with the new titbits of knowledge.

Today I can murmur dejectedly because I have to do housework

Or I can feel honoured because God has provided shelter for my mind, body and soul.

Today stretches ahead of me, waiting to be shaped.

And here I am, the sculpture who gets to do the shaping.

What today will be like is up to me.

I get to choose what day I will have!

Have a great day ... unless you have other plans.

Good Morning,

I am God.  Today I will be handling all of your problems.  Please remember that I do not need your help.  If the devil happens to deliver a situation to you that you cannot handle, DO NOT attempt to resolve it.  Kindly put it in the SFJTD (something for Jesus

to do) box.  It will be addressed in MY time, not yours.

Once the matter is placed into the box, do not hold on to it or attempt to remove it. Holding on or removal will delay the resolution of your problem.

If it is a situation that you think you are capable of handling, please consult me in prayer to be sure that it is the proper resolution.

Because I do not sleep nor do I slumber, there is no need for you to loose any sleep.  Rest my child.  If you need to contact me, I am only a prayer away.Have a great day!

Be the best of whatever you are

If you can't be a pine at the top of the hill,

Be a scrub in the valley

But be the best little scrub by the side of the rill

Be a bush if you can't be a tree

If you can't be a bush be a bit of the grass

And some highway happier make

If you can't be a muskie then just be a bass

But the liveliest bass in the lake

We can't all be captains we've got to be crew

There's something for all of us here

There's a big work to do and there's little to do

The task we must do is the near

If you can't be a highway then just be a trail

If you can't be the sun be the star

It isn't by size that you win or you fail

Be the best of whatever you are

The people will talk

The people will talk, the saying is true,

They'll talk about me,

They'll talk about you.

If you go to the opera someone would say

You should go to the church and learn how to pray.

If you go to the church and offer your prayers

They say you are a hypocrite putting on airs.

They talk of us single

They talk of us wed.

They talk of us leaving they talk of us dead.

They talk of our prospect

They talk of our past

And if you are happy they say it won't last.

If you are rich, they call you a thief,

Laugh at your sorrows and scoff at your grief.

If you live like an angel with circumspect walk'

Your efforts are useless, the people will talk.

Don't shoot the wounded

"Pray don't find fault with the man/woman who limps

Or stumbles along the road,

Unless you have worn the shoes he/she wears

Or struggled beneath his/her load.

There may be tacks in his/her shoes that hurt,

Tho' hidden away from view,

Or the burden he/she bears placed on your back

Might cause you to stumble, too.

Don't sneer at the man/woman who's down today

Unless you have felt the blow

That caused his/her fall or felt the shame

That only the fallen know.

You may be strong, but still the blows

That were his/hers, if dealt to you

In the self same way at the selfsame time

Might cause you to stagger, too.

Don't be too harsh with the man/woman that sins,

Or pelt him/her with word or stone,

Unless you are sure-

Yea, doubly sure-

That you have no sins of your own.

For you know perhaps if the tempter's voice

Should whisper as soft to you

As it did to him/her when he/she went astray,

It might cause you to falter, too."

THREE SIMPLE WORDS

There are three simple words that begins with "S"

They are wise with wisdom the world cannot guess.

But those who employ them their beauty confess-

Keep SILENT, keep SWEET and keep STEPPING.

Keep SILENT when rumour about you is stirred,

And friendship is hurt like a broken winged bird.

When clamours the heart for the right to be heard;

Keep SILENT, keep SWEET and keep STEPPING.

Keep SWEET when provoked by some petty affair,

When those whom you love on your loyalty wear-

When the milk of your spirit is curdled with cares,

Keep SILENT, keep SWEET and keep STEPPING.

Keep SILENT and spare yourself a needless regret,

Keep SWEET and the whole world will be in your debt;

Keep stepping with Christ, the truest Friend yet-

Keep SILENT, keep SWEET and keep STEPPING.

Vacation In Heaven

Here so many are taking vacation

To mountains, the lake and the sea,

Where they rest from cares and their worries -

What a wonderful time that must be!

But it seems not my lot to be like them,

I must toil through the heat and the cold,

Seeking our lost sheep on the mountains,

Bringing wanderers back to the fold.

But some day I shall take my vacation

To the city John tells us about,

With its foundation wall all so precious,

Where from gladness of heart I shall shout!

Oh, no sights ever witnessed by mortals

Can compare with the glories up there;

I shall spend my vacation with Jesus,

In the place He went to prepare.

There the weather will always be perfect;

Not a cloud shall sweep over the sky;

And no earthquakes or cyclones shall threaten

In the land of the "Sweet By and By."

Soon there's going to be an excursion;

I am booked for a ride in the air.

You're invited to share my vacation,

And the feast with our Bridegroom to share.

There will be no space there for smokers;

And no card parties there are allowed;

All the backbiters, liars, and gossips

Could not stand such a wonderful crowd!

But the old gospel train will be ringing

With the shout of the glorified throng,

Who are on the vacation with Jesus-

You are invited to go along.

Now when most people take their vacation

They return to their homes by and by,

But when I take my heavenly vacation

In my mansion of gold in the sky,

I will be with my Saviour forever,

With Him sit on His heavenly throne;

All the days will be one long vacation,

When my Saviour takes me to His home.

When I take my vacation in Heaven

What a wonderful time that will be

Hearing concerts by the heavenly chorus,

And the face of my Saviour I'll see

Sitting down by the banks of the river,

‘Neath the shade of the evergreen tree,

I shall rest from my burdens forever,

Won't you spend your vacation with me?

The Pearly White City

There's a holy and beautiful city

Whose builder and maker is God.

John saw it descending from Heaven ,

When Patmos in exile he trod.

Its high massive walls are of jasper,

The city itself is pure gold;

And when my frail tent here is folded

Mine eyes shall its glory behold.

No sin is allowed in that city,

And nothing defiling nor mean;

No pain, no sickness can enter,

No crepe in that city is seen

Earth's sorrows and cares are forgotten;

No tempter is there to annoy;

No parting words ever are spoken;

There's nothing to hurt or destroy

No heartaches are known in that city;

No tears can moisten the eye;

There's no disappointment in heaven;

No envy and strife in the sky.

The saints are all sanctified, wholy,

They live in sweet harmony there;

My heart is now set on that city;

And someday, its blessing I'll share.but the good

In that bright city, pearly whit city,

I'll have a mansion, a harp and a crown;

Now I am watching, waiting, and longing

For the white city John saw coming down.

Strong Words of Wisdom

I rather be alone than

To be with hypocrites

And impressionist who

Despise and plot to

Disable me permanently.

Who speak

Good of me to my face

And evil behind my

Back but the good
Lord is conscious of my

Innocence and will

Protect me always.

I Am the victorious one

And I will remain that

Way until the good

Lord is ready for me,

Not man!!!

BLUEPRINT FOR ACHIEVEMENT

Believe while others are doubting

Plan while others are playing

Study while others are sleeping

Decide while others are delaying

Prepare while others are daydreaming

Begin while others are procrastinating

Work while others are wishing

Save while others are wasting

Listen while others are talking

Smile while others are pouting

Command while others are criticizing

Persist while others are quitting
