About Mon Repos District

rogerPastor Roger Stephen

Pastor Roger Stephen was born and raised in La Bayee, where from a tender age, he became very actively involved in church activities.  He worked in just about every department of the church, but had a special love for the youth department where he spent most of his years working with the young people of the La Bayee S.D.A Church.

As the church leaders took note of his spiritual gift of preaching, he was afforded the opportunity to preach his first evangelistic campaign in 1999, out of which through the power of the Holy Spirit over 100 souls said yes to Jesus. As he continued preaching the word many more souls were added to the kingdom of heaven and in 2002 he was awarded the accolade, “Lay Preacher of the Year.”

As a layman, Pastor Stephen preached many crusades and revivals in St.Lucia, Martinique, Guadeloupe, Paris, and Trinidad and Tobago winning over 500 souls to the Lord.

In 2002 he finally responded to the call and left for Caribbean Union College now University of the Southern Caribbean to pursue a degree in Theology. While at college he was integrally involved in the uniform and drama clubs, the youth choir, and the Ministerial Association of which he became the president in his final year.

Pastor Stephen completed his studies in December 2005 and graduated cum laude in 2006 with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology with an emphasis in Pastoral Ministry.

He joined the workforce of the St.Lucia Mission of S.D.A in March of 2006 and in June he was sent to the Dennery District on special assignment to work with over 100 new converts in consolidation.

In 2007 he was given the responsibility of shepherding the Micoud District where he  currently serves.  Since entering the gospel ministry, he has depopulated the kingdom of the enemy by leading over 456 souls to the Lord’s kingdom.

Pastor Stephen’s greatest joy is seeing people walk away from the kingdom of darkness and give their hearts to Jesus. He loves people and enjoys working closely with his members. His ministry is punctuated heavily with prayer, visitation and working closely with the youth.

He is married to the charming Priscilla Jn. Louis whom he considers his very close partner in ministry. They have shared a happy and wonderful relationship together for the past thirteen years and look forward to the Lord’s continued guidance in their future ministry.

Pastor Stephen’s greatest desire is to be led continuously by God, as he prepares a people for the Lord’s soon return.
