About The LAC

The Lay Advisories Council (LAC)

Otherwise known as the LAC, was formed in 2003 to help the Mission Administration work closer with the laity, so as to develop the cause of God on the island of Saint Lucia. This body helps the laity understand the work of the administration and brings feedback from the lay members to the Mission.

This webpage brings you information on the work of the Lay Advisory Council on behalf of the Saint Lucia Mission. It records achievements of the first two years of the LAC from 2003-2005 and it gives reports on major activities of the current LAC. The currently serving LAC began its work in 2005 with extensive meetings with district church boards islandwide, in an effort to help them understand the role of the LAC and to get feedback from the boards on how they would like to see the Mission move forward.  One council meeting was held May 2005 and another one scheduled for December was postponed due to circumstances beyond the control of the council.

Each LAC serves for two years. The members of the executive for 2005-2007 are as follows:
